VIGILANTE DRAMA PLOT AND EXPLANATION
When Kim Ji-Yong (Nam Joo-Hyuk) was just a child, his mother fell victim to a senseless act of violence on the streets, brutally beaten to death by a heartless thug. Shockingly, the perpetrator received a mere 3 and a half years in prison for the heinous crime. As an adult, Kim Ji-Yong is haunted by the realization that his mother's killer remains unchanged and unpunished.
Fueled by a burning desire for justice, Kim Ji-Yong takes the law into his own hands and administers a brutal beating to the man responsible. From that moment forward, he finds himself leading a double life. On weekdays, he diligently pursues his studies as a model student at the police university. However, come the weekends, he transforms into a vigilant enforcer, delivering retribution to those criminals who have received shockingly lenient sentences and continue to perpetrate their crimes. This alter-ego earns him the moniker of "Vigilante."
In his quest for justice, Kim Ji-Yong finds an ally in Jo Gang-Ok (Lee Joon-Hyuk), who deeply admires his cause. Simultaneously, Jo Heon (Yoo Ji-Tae), the leader of a police investigation team, tirelessly pursues the elusive figure known as Vigilante.
Adding another layer to this intricate web of justice and secrecy is Choi Mi-Ryeo (Kim So-Jin), a dedicated reporter from a broadcasting station, who immerses herself in the story of Vigilante, shedding light on the enigmatic figure and his mission.
